Quantity

Since most of our products are printed in batch with fixed quantities, we do not offer quantities between the ones listed. If you need a larger quantity, please ask for a custom quote and we'll be happy to help.

Because of the printing process being used, all cards in a single set must be identical. For example, you cannot benefit the price of 500 cards for 2 different sets of 250 cards.

Printing process

This product is printed using an offset press. Offset is amongst the best type of printing available. It provides a crisp and clean professional looking printing.

Our printing process includes a full color printing on both sides (CMYK). There is no extra cost for colors unless you want to add a custom Pantone color.

Extra Pantone color may be any Pantone color you want including metallic colors.

4/4 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides
4/0 = full color printing (CMYK) on front and no printing on back
5/4 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides + 1 Pantone on front
5/5 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides + 1 Pantone on both sides
6/4 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides + 2 Pantones on front
6/5 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides + 2 Pantones on front and 1 Pantone on back
6/6 = full color printing (CMYK) on both sides + 2 Pantones on both sides

Die cutting

Die-cutting is a process used to cut paper into a specific shape using a cutting die. The paper being cut is placed on a flat surface with a supportive backing, and the die is pressed onto the paper to cut it.

If you need help determining if the shape of your die is simple or intricate, please contact us.

Important - Please read

We do not charge set-up fees or die making fees. Most dies are one-time use only, and are recycled after use. For additional print runs, the same charges would again apply.

Spot UV

Produces a glossy effect giving the card a textured look. The spot gloss varnish is often applied over pictures or graphics to enhance them. It's also especially effective when the background is solid black and the Spot UV layer creates a shape, pattern or text. A spot UV layer over some text is also possible but less apparent and may require moving the card in the light to see the effect.

Spot UV involves a separate stage in the production process, after printing and laminating. Although we make all efforts to perfectly align the spot UV to the print, a shift of up to 1/64" may occur. Most of the time the shifting will only show on a few cards. Please keep that in mind when creating the artwork. We do not recommend applying spot UV in registration with small text or fine lines.

Foil Stamping

Foil stamping is the application of pigment or metallic foil to paper where a heated die is stamped onto the material, making it stick to the surface leaving the design of the die on the paper. We can combine foil with embossing to create a more striking 3D image. We offer 16 different colors of foil stamping.

Because it requires a separate press run, a tolerance of +/- 1/64 inch is standard for registration of foil to printing graphic. Although we make all efforts to perfectly align the foil to the print, a shift of up to 1/64" may occur. Please keep that in mind when creating the artwork.

Please avoid very fine lines and small typeface. Be sure the space between the lines in the design is not too narrow.

Foil stamping cost includes a maximum surface of 3 square inch (For example, 3 sq. in. can be 2"X1.5" or 3"X1"). Oversize foiling requires special attention, is more time consuming and requires a larger die. Therefore, extra cost will apply for surface larger than 3 square inch.

We do not charge set-up fees or platemaking fees. Foil stamping dies are one-time use only, and the die is recycled after use.

Debossing

Debossing applies pressure on the paper forcing the material down from the paper surface. Debossing doesn't show through the other side of the card.

Because it requires a separate press run, a tolerance of +/- 1/64 inch is standard for registration of deboss to printing graphic. Although we make all efforts possible to perfectly align the debossing to the print, a shift of up to 1/64" may occur. Most of the time the shifting will only show on a few cards. Please keep that in mind when creating the artwork. It is not recommend to deboss fine lines or small text.

To avoid any shifting, you can chose a blind debossing. Blind means the debossed area is made without using ink on the debossed image. The debossing process alone creates the text or design on the paper.

We do not charge set-up fees or platemaking fees. Debossing dies are one-time use only, and the plates are recycled after use. Debossing cost includes a maximum surface of 3 square inch (For example, 3 sq. in. can be 2"X1.5" or 3"X1"). Oversize debossing requires special attention, is more time consuming and requires a larger die. Therefore, extra cost will apply for surface larger than 3 square inch.

Embossing

Embossing produces raised effect on selected areas. The embossed pattern is raised against the background. As opposed to debossing, embossing will show throught the back side of the card.
